About the Nikita
The Nikita Sex Toy was born from a sculpture series created by Artist Marnika Shelton. The Nikita is a 100% medical grade silicone dildo, featuring a luxury gold bullet vibrator (sold separately).
Nika Cherrelles’ store specializes in gun-themed sex toys, ideal if you enjoy role-playing as secret agents or spies (see its cheekily named Goldmember dildo). If you’re not so much a fan of the gun design, it’s also got a small bullet (literally) vibrator.
The Nikita’s trigger acts as a tickler to stimulate the clitoral or prostate areas. It can also be used as a hands-free strap-on by inserting the base of the gun grip into the vagina. The handle also makes the toy more ergonomic than some dildos: The handle allows the user to have more control and to reach a wide range of angles, whether someone is using it solo or with a partner.
I created the Dual Compensation Series for queer radical feminists, for dissatisfied housewives, for anyone who has ever felt powerless or ashamed of who they are. What began as sexual, social and political satire took flight. By the end of the day people were asking: “Is it functional?” “When it will be functional?” “When can I get one?”
The protest, hashtagged #CocksNotGlocks, plays on the persistent myth of the “good guy with a gun,” a figure gun-rights enthusiasts say is the only thing capable of stopping a bad guy with a gun. Compared with guns, Jin writes, dildos are “just about as effective at protecting us from sociopathic shooters, but much safer for recreational play.”
